Twinkle Two's

Age 2 (Parent Participation)

Twinkle Twos is a joyful introduction to dance for our tiniest movers! This ballet-based creative movement class invites two-year-olds and their grown-up to dance together in a fun, supportive environment. Dancers will explore basic ballet foundations while developing gross motor skills like balance, coordination, jumping, and marching. Through music, imaginative play, and playful movement, little ones build confidence, body awareness, and a love for dance - while sharing special moments with their favorite helper by their side. This 30 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital. â€‹

PRE-SCHOOL

Ages 3 - 4

An introduction to dance that incorporates creative movement, rhythm and coordination, and the fundamentals of ballet and tap technique. Dancers are introduced to basic skills through imagination, exploration, and FUN! Dancers will also leave with a knowledge of basic terminology. This one hour combo class meets once a week and will perform two dances in the spring recital.

Acro & Tumbling I/II

Age 5 to 8

Acro & Tumbling focuses on building strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through controlled floor-based skills. Dancers will learn proper technique and safe progressions for skills such as rolls, bridges, walkovers, and introductory tumbling passes. Emphasis is placed on body awareness, alignment, and injury prevention to help dancers develop confidence and control as they advance their tumbling abilities.

BALLET/TAP I

BALLET/JAZZ I

Ages 5 - 6

 

 

 

This class begins to lay the groundwork for ballet and either tap or jazz technique that will prepare the dancer for their continuation of dance. Emphasizing proper posture and placement, the dancer will begin to piece movements together through a structured syllabus that is presented through fun activities. This one hour combo class meets once a week and will perform two dances in the spring recital.

HIP HOP I

Ages 5 - 6

An introduction to hip hop where popular music is used to introduce this fun style of dance that focuses on rhythm and personality. Dancers have their time to shine as they incorporate their own freestyle movements. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE I

Ages 5 - 6

An introduction of jazz technique as well as the style and history of the American Broadway musical. Dancers learn the fundamentals of dance, and learn choreography from a different Broadway show each week. Not only do they gain a knowledge of musical theatre, they learn to pick up choreography quickly. Dancers are challenged to act while dancing and express a range of emotions through their faces, bodies, and sometimes even their voices! This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

BALLET/TAP/JAZZ II

BALLET/JAZZ II

Ages 7 - 8

 

This class takes the skills learned from level one and progresses into a deeper understanding of proper technique. Students build upon skills at the barre, increase strength and conditioning through age appropriate stretches, and are introduced to the fundamentals of tap and jazz. This 1-1.5 hour combo classes meet once a week and will perform two or three dances in the spring recital.

HIP HOP II

Ages 7 - 8

This class focuses on hip hop styles and technique. Perfect for the energetic student, this class challenges the dancer to find his or her own individual style through both freestyle movement and hip hop choreography. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE II

Ages 7 - 8

The curriculum expands from level one as dancers work on more advanced turns, across the floor combinations, and Broadway choreography. They are introduced to a deeper understanding of the craft as well as a richer history of the musicals they study each week. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

ACRO III - VI

Ages 9+/Placed

Acro focuses on developing strength, flexibility, balance, and control through progressive floor-based skills. Dancers will work on proper technique and safe skill development while building body awareness and coordination. Emphasis is placed on controlled transitions, alignment, and injury prevention, allowing dancers to confidently advance their acro skills in a structured and supportive environment.

BALLET III

Ages 9 - 12

This class has a continued emphases on the ballet technique and also introduces new skills to prepare the student for upper level classes. We highly recommend adding a ballet class if enrolling in jazz or musical theatre as ballet is the foundation of dance. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital. *Two prior years of ballet is preferred, but not necessary.

BALLET III ADV-VI

Placed

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes focus on intricate and complex barre exercises, center combinations, and across the floor progressions. Emphasis is placed on strength as a preparation for pointe. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.
*Ballet Technique is required.

BALLET Technique

III-VI

Ages 9+/Placed

Ballet Technique is designed to focus on the technical foundations of classical ballet. Dancers will work through structured barre and center exercises that build strength, alignment, flexibility, balance, and control. Emphasis is placed on correct placement, coordination, and clarity of movement, allowing dancers to refine their technique and improve overall performance quality. This class is ideal for dancers looking to strengthen their ballet fundamentals and support success across all dance styles.

Ballet Variations 

III - VI

Ages 9+/Placed

The Ballet Variations class focuses on learning classical ballet variations from well-known ballets such as Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty. Dancers will develop artistry, musicality, and the ability to quickly pick up intricate choreography. Emphasis is placed on character interpretation and choreography execution while reinforcing strong ballet technique. This class helps dancers gain performance confidence and a deeper understanding of classical repertoire.

HIP HOP III-IV Adv

Ages 9 and Up

This class takes the skills from level two and incorporates more complicated choreography. It emphasizes both rhythm and musicality, as well as individualism and personality. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

Improv III-IV Adv

Ages 9 and Up

Improv encourages dancers to explore creativity, musicality, and self-expression through guided improvisation exercises. Dancers will learn to respond to music, movement prompts, and spatial awareness while building confidence and individuality. This class helps dancers strengthen performance quality, artistry, and the ability to think and move freely, making it a valuable addition to technical training.

JAZZ III

Ages 9 - 12

In this class, the jazz syllabus continues on from level two with fundamental skills, solid jazz technique, and a strong awareness of the dancer’s body and how it moves and creates shapes. Through center exercises and progressions across the floor, dancers are challenged with advanced steps and choreography. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

JAZZ III ADV-VI

Placed

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes focus on intricate and complex strength exercises, center combinations, and across the floor progressions. This one hour class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

LEAPS & TURNS III-VI

Ages 9+/Placed

This class focuses on the leaps and turns found in ballet and jazz classes which are incorporated into almost every piece of choreography in dance. Emphasis on strength, safety, and proper technique. An excellent class for dancers wanting to dance on their school drill teams, and an excellent companion to a ballet class. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital.

LYRICAL/

Contemporary III-VI

Ages 9+/Placed

Students are placed in the appropriate level depending on skill level. These advanced classes are a fusion of ballet and modern technique. This class challenges the dancer to interpret the music through dance and connect with the music and/or lyrics as a form of expression.  This 30-45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

MUSICAL THEATRE III-IV ADV

Ages 9 - 11

With an emphasis on proper jazz and ballet technique, this class challenges the dancer with more varying styles of dance through a deep exploration of the American Broadway musical. This class expands on the skills learned in lower levels and is a great companion class to Ballet III. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.

POINTE V-VI

Placed

These classes introduce pointe technique as well as explore choreography en pointe. Students must take at least two years of ballet and be evaluated by a teacher before joining a pointe class. This class meets once a week and will perform one dance in the spring recital.
*Ballet and ballet technique are required.

POINTE Technique

V-VI

Placed

Pointe Technique is for dancers who have been approved to begin or continue pointe work. This class emphasizes proper foot and ankle strength, alignment, and safe execution of pointe skills. Dancers will work on exercises at the barre and center to improve balance, articulation, and control while reinforcing correct technique and injury prevention. Pointe shoes are required, and prior ballet training is essential.

STRENGTH & STRETCHING

Placed

This class focuses on flexibility, strength, and muscle control as it combines classical dance technique with preparing for complex movement and precision acrobatic elements. This 30 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital. 

Tap III - VI

9+/Placed

Tap class focuses on developing rhythm, musicality, coordination, and sound clarity through traditional and contemporary tap techniques. Dancers will learn proper foot placement, weight shifts, and timing while building speed and precision. Classes include exercises and combinations that help dancers gain confidence, improve listening skills, and express rhythm through movement in a fun and energetic environment.

Drill Team Technique

Jr. High/High School

This high-energy technique class is designed for junior high and high school dancers who want to prepare for school drill team tryouts and elevate their performance to the next level. Dancers will focus on essential drill team skills including kicks, turns, leaps, strength, flexibility, precision, and performance quality. Emphasis is placed on clean technique, sharp timing, stamina, and confidence. This class is perfect for dancers with aspirations of making their school team, earning a spot as an officer, or simply pushing themselves toward bigger goals through focused, disciplined training. This 45 minute class meets once a week and will not perform in the spring recital. 

Adult Tap

18 and up

Adult Tap is a fun and welcoming class designed for dancers of all experience levels, from beginners to those returning to tap after time away. This class focuses on basic tap technique, rhythm, coordination, and musicality while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. Adult dancers will learn combinations that build confidence, promote movement, and allow for creativity - all while enjoying the joy of tap dancing.
